Valentines is coming and we’re all busy. That doesn’t mean you get to blow it off, though. Here’s three easy ways to fancify a box of brownie mix, and a video to go along with it!

Inside Out S’mores Brownies

  • 1 box of  Duncan Hines Family Size Dark Chocolate Fudge Brownies (or your favorite), prepared as directed.
  • 1 bag mini marshmallows
  • 1 box graham crackers

Directions:
Prepare brownie mix as directed, and grease a 9×13 pan. Pour in half the brownie batter, and then cover with about half the bag of marshmallows. Then neatly cover the marshmallows with graham cracker squares in an even layer, like you’re laying tile. Press down lightly. Carefully add the remaining marshmallows and bake as directed. When the brownies are barely set, remove them from the oven and turn your broiler on. Cover the top of the brownies with the remaining marshmallows and set them under the broiler. DON’T GO ANYWHERE. Don’t grab your phone and check Facebook, Just stand there and count to 50. Then check them, they should be brown on top and puffed up. Carefully remove the brownies from the oven and sprinkle crushed graham crackers on top. Let cool to room temperature before cutting. Chef Jocelyn Tip: Spray your knife with cooking spray before you slice the brownies to reduce the mess!

Salted Caramel Turtle Brownies

  • 1 box of  Duncan Hines Family Size Dark Chocolate Fudge Brownies (or your favorite brand) prepared as directed
  • 1 jar of salted caramel ice cream topping (we like Smuckers brand)
  • Chopped pecans or other nuts (optional)

Directions: Prepare the brownie mix as directed. Spray your brownie pan and pour in half the batter. Top the batter in the pan with salted caramel sauce (take off the metal lid and set the whole jar in the microwave for 30 seconds to help it want to pour) about half a cup (half the jar) and then carefully add the remaining batter. Bake as directed. Remove the brownies from the oven and let them cool for about 10 minutes and then add the rest of the salted caramel, the nuts and a sprinkle of sea salt or flake salt. Let cool to room temperature before slicing.
